Some of the hardos on this board will freak out over this, but lets take a step back and analyze:

10 titles, our own program on ESPN, the greatest/most publicized Women's Coach ever, pundits on ESPN, alumni, #1 recruits, a legitimate fan market; UCONN Women's Basketball is a factor in CR.

No, they don't come in the same breath as Football and Men's Bball, but they are a team that only improves the publicity and viewership of a conference. The next 2 days will be "Geno, Geno, Geno."

As the man hinted again tonight (should have whispered in Emmerts ear) UCONN is in the wrong conference. How can the ACC/B1G not want this market as a good contributor to the overall UCONN brand?

We show promise in Football/expand the Rent, then we give you our 14 basketball national titles and an endowment over $700 million by 2018. You might say "why didn't we get the invite before when our women's team was just as good"- because we need to continue to build our University and Brand. The Women are doing a fantastic job for that brand right now.
