Nic Moore was 3-13 and completely hounded the entire game. It was beautiful to watch in person.

Great job by Boat. Being the team leader, he is able to run the offense, score a bunch of points, and also shut down the opposing star guard. A true two way player warrior. He deserves to be back in the NCAA tourney again.

For those more adept at stats than me; does anyone know if any other UConn player has logged more floor time (minutes) than Boat in a single season?

Boxscore doesn't have minutes played yet but I'm pretty sure Boat also went the whole way except for when he came out when the game was decided. That was tourney Boat on the defensive end there, I noticed the Moore fan club of Fraschilla and Rothstein(and I like Moore so no shade there) were silent on this performance.

He played more as a sophomore.

Boat is averaging 35.3 mpg this year.
2014: Bazz 35.1
2013: Bazz 37.3, Boat 36.3
2012: Jeremy Lamb 37.2, Bazz 35
2011: Kemba 37.6
2010: Kemba 35.3
2009: Adrien 34.6

So yeah, since the 07-08 seasons, UConn has had at least one player average (roughly) at least 35 mpg

Boatright I'm guessing was pacing himself on the offensive end ( dribbling 10 seconds off the clock every possession) so he could go full throttle chasing moore through all of SMU's sets.

SMU is damn good but they don't shoot threes well. If they were better @ shooting I could envision a deep run , instead they rely on precisely run sets(high assist numbers). could be easily bounced early in the ncaat because moore is their only outside threat. shannon browns bro should shoot/play more.
