Boatright playing with a heavy heart

Boatright is going to be playing with a heavy heart this week, and probably for the foreseeable future. I saw his twitter and did some follow up on it and looks like his good friend was murdered last night in Aurora. Kid comes from a tough area, but doesn't make dealing with loss any easier. Our hearts are with you Boat!!

That's terrible, so sick of seeing kids killing kids. Ryan is as tough as they come, he'll be able to deal with this.

Damn. While there are not many positives to this, let's hope it gives him something to fight for. He's representing Chicago and he's one of a whole lot that don't get the opportunity he has. I know this is how Bazz feels when he's playing, thinking of his dad and his other fatherly figure he grew the rat tail for.

Wow, just awful, can't even imagine what Ryan is going through. A day or two ago I watched a very good documentary by World Star Hip Hop (it is actually really well done) on the gang violence and homicides in Chicago, horrible to see what these kid's lives are like. I would definitely recommend watching it if you have 40 minutes or so.

Sad, I feel for him. Tough though he is, I'm sure the pointlessness of the whole thing has to be rough.

I lost a good friend to a car accident as a high school sophomore and I know how tough that was to overcome. I can't imagine having to try and justify something so senseless.
