I know Shabazz hit a few nice shots did a lot of good things but he also missed 15 big one's and had 5 TO's. Daniels and Boat were efficient--the best BOTh have played in awhile. Bridah was great. Giffey and Kromah also did their part. We were the better team--they just stunned us. I just listen to all the after talk about Shabazz but his teammates won that game.

Last and unfortunately 1 minute of Omar Calhoun is too much.

man if Bazz could just get right...not counting the Louisville game we're finally getting all the right pieces to contribute, Boat and DeAndre have stepped up, Giffey is the essential role player/glue guy that you need, and Brimah is filling that role of the defensive/rebounding big with some occasional offense that we needed. if we could just get Bazz to be what he was earlier than this team could really go.

I think it's possible to praise the efforts of Daniels and Bridah along with Boatright without going after the play of Shabazz. I personally think he's definitely less than 100% but has the heart of a lion and his spunk in the latter part of the game was essential to our winning tonight. It was a team effort and has been mentioned, we got some contributions from a few key people that helped make all the difference. If we can build off of that, we can maybe continue our way into the Sweet 16. I'm not in a position to watch a lot of Huskie basketball in Florida and it seems when they're on national TV I am away from a television. Without a DVR I'm outta luck. I'm really disappointed that Calhoun hasn't done enough to warrant more playing time but I guess Kevin knows best. I thought St. Joe's played quite well and I'm just happy we pulled through. I do have to say that their center really presented some serious problems for our guys. He reminded me of a male version of Stef Dolson where the offense ran through him and he was impressive. When he fouled out, our job got much easier, as the announcers mentioned.

Can't forget Kromah. He locked down Galloway in the second half and played great D on that last wild St. Joes possession.

Liked the way Oliver kept swapping Kroham and Giffey for offense/defense in OT.

Ryan played a very solid game on both sides of the ball.

It was about halfway through OT when I realized I hadn't face palmed a Boatright play on O or D since the first half. Then he gave up the half-hearted foul for the and-1.

All of three of them played very well tonight and if any of them hadn't played that well, UConn would be going home.

Kromah had a tremendous bounce back fame after some shaky efforts

You can talk about 'Bazz being off, but as soon as it went to OT, I knew we were going to win. Because 'Bazz doesn't know anything about losing in OT.

Boatright was excellent. If he could play like that next year, this team will be in very good hands. He's my Senhor Testiculo with Brimah a very close second.

Omar Calhoun is better at basketball than you are at anything you have ever done in your life, except maybe taking vicarious satisfaction in the accomplishments of complete strangers.

Sorry for the Calhoun apologists--I love backing my huskies but also being fair. The honesty is the OC hasnt looked like a division 1 basketball player for most of this season. Quite frankly he hasn't earned that minute in a big game. And this post had little to do with him--it was about backing the guys who won this game. If OC played more than his one minute--that might not have happened--hes a complete liability right now. Its better for him to re-make his game in the off-season. He's a deer in the headlights right now.

As ace said, if only we could get Bazz right it's all coming together. Sure he made some big plays but this was far from a great Bazz game, if he could get back to the Bazz we saw earlier in the year......look out.

Because he stopped shooting and started driving to the hoop. Had he continued to take and miss his jump shots it's likely we do not win. If he is not 100% and there is so something wrong with his hand he should not be throwing up 21 shots and almost half from outside the arc.

Hopefully being the loving, guiding coach he is,Ollie is going to sit down with Calhoun if he hasnt already and ask him to contribute with hustle, rebounds and some lock down defense, the shot will come back.

To me, this was Boatright's best game in a husky uniform. From the start, he was fast yet in total control. He played within the game, made the right decisions, didn't force much. If he can replicate this effort, he is a difference maker. Just an awesome game from this kid!

He played awesome all-around. One mis-guided early 3 at the beginning of a shot clock when we were trailing, but he did have a good look at it so I can live with it.

OC's minute was as bad as it could possibly be. It starts out on D when he plays soft on Galloway and gives up the 3 that he's in there to deny, then he runs down court and turns the ball over, then he runs back on D and commits a shooting foul. At that point KO saw enough and yanked him. I will say this for OC he was very positive on the bench, no sulking and lots of cheering, and that takes a lot of character for a big time player who's in such a funk. If it were me, I wouldn't put him back in this year, but it's not up to me and I trust in however KO handles it.
