Just keep that in mind as we express angst over the second two. He was in the middle of the court for that one and had a little more time and better passing angles (and visual angles).

Not saying he wouldn't like to have the second two over again (DD came open maybe a smidge too late, and in OT2, I feel like he dribbled himself into trouble where he couldn't see the floor - his handle is too damn loose sometimes). If he had just shot an airball, Giffey could have Lorenzo Charlesed it.

I mean this is completely 20/20 hindsight but what about Niels after he stole the pass at the end of reg? He had over 2 seconds and was a few feet outside the arc. He could have probably driven for a dunk in that much time but jacked the three instead. Can't expect to the kid make that heady of a play there, him stealing the ball was miraculous enough.

Wait what this thread about?

Darius Miles would have buried that one.

Not sure why he went with an off balance three instead of stepping into a 15-footer or going all the way to the rim and maybe forcing them to foul, but it happened so fast he was probably going on instinct. When you are on offense, you have that mental clock in your head ready to go, but when you are focused on D and all of a sudden you have the ball in your hands, you might not be as focused.

We had a few bad moments - DD not shooting off the inbounds pass, Bazz dribbling out the possible 2-for-1, Omar still not realizing he shouldn't dribble through traffic in overtime, and Boat had his at the end of overtime. They all had their good moments too.

Exactly, you're not thinking about how much time is left and what you can do. You're thinking "holy the I have the ball and the game's almost over I gotta shoot!"

true...although it's probably a good thing that GT called a TO because in the postgame Boat said he was ready to foul, thinking we were still down 1 after Omar's 3. Boat's awareness has really got to pick up.

Oh good god, talk about too much honesty. That's a confession to leave in the locker room.
