Boat needs to shoot more

Boatright needs to stop overthinking and just shoot... Minimum 20+ shots a game.

He turns over the ball when he is forcing himself to pass the ball. He is trying to hard to present himself as a traditional pg (for draft purposes because of his size) but he is a natural scorer and he plays best and it's best for the team when he is aggressively trying to score.

As jay bilas has said before no one in America can stay in front of him... Yes the whole defense is constantly watching him but he is a special player and when he is in attack mode he can get any shot he wants...

Also did you watch the second half when he was aggressive shooting and just playing ball...


My only gripe against boat is that when he drives he too often relies on his speed and athleticism to avoid defenders but ends up making himself more susceptible to clean blocks, what he needs to do is go into the big guys and draw contact and have the refs use their whistles. He is the leading scorer in the AAC and when he draws contact he will have more calls for him than against.

Dham is the key to the rest of the year. He has to become RB's Robin for us to have a chance. He needs to become more selfish on offense. There is only him and RB who can score.

Boat played like a champ tonight.

Would have liked to see him score 20 in the first half and one in the second.

He has spent 3 years de-tuning his game and learning how to run a team. And he's done great. He needs some Isiah Thomas or Kemba in him and learn how to put a team on his back and lead from the front by scoring.

Yes but there was a clear difference in his shooting mentality from the first half when looking at the second. In the first half you could see him thinking when he should shoot and when to pass...in the second half he stopped overthinking and just balled.


This team needs boat more than Uconn needed kemba in 2011 or last years team needed bazz... He's a special player and I have faith in him delivering ... Not saying he will get us to a championship or a final four but at this point the tournament and win or two would be a significant accomplishment. And as us Uconn fans know when we have diminutive pgs who can score and take over games we do well in the tournament

Hard to do everything when the rest of your team just stands there. Feel sorry for RB this year. He is getting some JD treatment now.
