4.56 second run. The expectation was that he would be in the 4.5s, so he has not hurt himslef at all. During his second run the commentators talked about how "the UConn guys have acquitted themselves really well at this combine"...followed by a "yes they have" from Prime.

Yep.

The combine had to serve two different purposes for Wilson and Gratz- and it did.

Wilson needed numbers that wouldn't hurt him and give scouts a warm fuzzy that what they saw on film could be quantified at the combine.

Gratz needed great combine numbers to alleviate some of the miscues on his film.

Both of them did great.

Patriots blog: UConn CB linked to Pats in mock es.pn/VGsLBU
Would LOVE to see any of our guys picked up by the Pats. Hopefully, they will show a bit more patience with the 2nd UCONN DB than they did the 1st one. Still frosts me that the Pats secondary is a complete JOKE, and they didn't have the vision to allow Butler to develop more. Obviously he struggled, but everyone else in their secondary sucked, too, and it takes a while for most DB's to be ready to be starters. On the flip side, I'm happy for Butler he found a place to show he belongs. In the meantime, I will pull like crazy for my Pats and continue to shake my head when McCourty gets beat like a dusty rug on Spring Cleaning day.
