Just to make sure I understand-

The B1G expanded and made a crap ton of money.

The SEC expanded and made a crap ton of money.

The ACC expanded and now most of the ACC schools want to break away from most of the teams they added.

One of these things is not like the others.
The only thing more important than money is more money

No doubt we show out at MSG, it’s awesome. But I think we’d own the TD Garden if we played any Big East (or really any team, including BC) there. We have tons of alumni in Boston, just surprised they never thought it’d be good to stake a claim to that city / the rest of New England.

You’re right we can bring the NYC metro market to another conference (Big12), but IMO the only 2 conferences that matter getting into in the long-term are the B1G and SEC. And I don’t see the SEC using UConn as a way to get into NYC. Then again, I’d love to be wrong about that.
Which way do UConn fans lean? Sox or Yankees? Pats or Giants?

My experience, it is pretty even but maybe a touch more towards the Boston teams given the schools location and Boston's general success lately.

Pretty much splits at the Connecticut river
Storrs is east of the river but the CT population is higher west of the river. So 2/3 favor NY teams and 1/3 Boston teams?

Lots of NY transplants hated the Yankees. Lots of Dodger and Giant fans, and then Met fans.

Residents of Storrs? I have no idea. The University? I would say roughly 50-50 based upon their hometowns.

Yeah, I said Sox-Yanks because of the rivalry. Mets and Jets noted.

UConn fans though…. Aren’t most UConn fans from west of the river just by CT population distribution?

I don't know that anyone has done a poll, but anecdotal evidence from when I was there tells me was pretty much evenly split, at least back in the day.

Sounds like a BY poll is needed. Pats or Giants / Jets. Sox or Yanks / Mets.
