For the old-time Husky fans: an old pic from an article published 18 years after the shot was taken. Any guesses/memories about the pic and the article?

Well it's Lobo playing for Southwick, getting flowers which they do around here whenever someone passes the 1000 pt mark. Although could also have been 2000 pts or the MA state record at the time.

That is so. The article from The Republican of Massachusetts is a retrospective on Lobo just before her 18-year-old scoring record set as a player for Southwick was about to be broken in 2009. Those incredible stats: 36.8 ppg and 20 rpg during her senior year, when her teammates were pictured with her after another broken record.

OT: Does anyone know the story of Southwick? (I don't.) But, the northern border of Connecticut is a straight line, except for one notch, which is Southwick. so, for some reason, the original people of Southwick chose to be part of Mass. instead on CT. So, what's the story?

Are you sure that wasn't at Rebecca's sister's wedding where she caught the bouquet?

Rebecca decided to visit the Liliputians prior to going to Storrs?

So CT signed away Southwick to MA when it didn't know that Rebecca Lobo would be living there a few years/centuries down the road? That is definitely withholding vital information, and it's great that CT got her back.

And Alex, I wouldn't sneer at Liliput University's WCBB program, which had yet another unbeaten season this year. They may not be dominating the boards, but they are real good at driving under opponents and forming pyramids to complete the layup.

Any self respecting person would.

It seems Mass. had high taxes even back then. Why didn't they formally name their state Taxachusetts?
I've lived in both states. At least in MA you get something from the taxes.

And anyway taxes in MA are lower than CT. (sales, top end income, per capita)
