Someone should write a book about her exploits. Is she still doing that heroine stuff. I thought she would be tired of it by now.
The greatness of Maya, dating from her high school days, is that she will find a way to put her stamp on the game and get a win. It could be long-distance shooting, tip-ins, deflections, rebounds, whatever. As Geno noted, she is almost never out of a play. If she is on the court, the other team had better be very aware.Meanwhile, back at the [Ros Casares] ranch-----RC dominating lately, with Maya a big part of it.
Feb 18 - Perimeter Maya: 7-9 FG (4-4 3PT) and 8 assists, 1 reb; 21 pts in a 79-56 beatdown
Feb 21 - Lunch Bucket Maya: 7-15 FG, 9 rebs, 2 blocks (led the team); 17 pts in an 88-54 laugher
You gotta like it when your youngest player can hurt your opponents in totally different ways from game to game as the defense allows.
Get used to it Kait you never get those decades back they just pile up.It never gets old... I saw an interview she did with a Seattle news station the other day where she mentioned that she was 31 and I facepalmed myself.. where the hell has 10 years gone?!?!
At an accelerating pace, it seems!Get used to it Kait you never get those decades back they just pile up.
Well, it is a smaller and smaller proportion of your life.At an accelerating pace, it seems!

[I think the Feb 18 game shooting was 4-4 on 2-pointers and 3-5 on 3-pointers.]

Indeed, I believe it was Dave Barry who posited that each decade of your life takes half as much time as the one that preceded it.
Weird- pretty sure he wrote it in Dave Barry Turns 40, which came out in 1987.Didn't Geno just repeat this quote at the beginning of his show? He said he read it recently. Hmmmm....
