As some who follow minor league ball may know, Billy Hamilton is on pace to break Vince Coleman's all time record for stolen bases in a season. Coleman once stole 145 bases across a couple of different levels.

Hamilton has 109 steals in 87 games so far this season for the Reds' minor league affiliates.

Over the weekend he hit a inside the park home run that was later timed at 13.8 seconds around the base paths.

That's 90x4= 360 ft, 120 yds or about 110 meters.

Think about that. 110 meters in under 14 seconds while having to make three turns, running in a somewhat circuitous path in baseball shoes on dirt.

And if you watch the video carefully, when he is getting high-fived in the dugout, that is Eric Davis in the red #44 uniform. He's a roving instructor/mnetor in the Reds' minor league system.

Only thing the guy has to do is hit consistently, which is the only thing preventing him from moving right up on the chain. Either way, he's going to have quite a special story to tell his kids some day.

There's a report out there that Eric Davis got hurt during the high five.
