Kansas coach Bill Self was hospitalized Thursday after experiencing "some concerning symptoms" and had two stents inserted, the university said.

"The procedure went very well, and he is expected to make a full recovery," the school said in a statement. "He is in good spirits and expects to be released from the hospital soon."

Also amazing how I wore big metal pieces cemented onto my teeth connected by wires (braces) in the late 80’s and my son is now on the verge of wearing… big metal pieces cemented onto his teeth connected by wires in 2025. No one’s figured out an alternative to braces in the last 40 years when solving for crooked teeth?

If all your son needs is his teeth realigned, he can basically get the same thing at home for maybe $.12-$.15 on the dollar, but if he needs jaw realignment, then I think he'd better off going to a orthodontist.

My oldest had invisalign at 8 years old because her top jaw wasnt wide enough to accept a couple of teeth that were coming in. She had to wear them all day and night for 18 months. Worked really well and now her teeth fit into her mouth. It cost about $2000 and that included all of her visits and rework of the invisalign if one set didn't fit.

Already kind of felt like Bill might be aging out of the new NIL era and waning into retirement, wonder if this accelerates that notion. Always interesting to see what a coaching search will look like for a blue blood when there is no obvious alum to take the seat. Got to think a guy like Golden would be at top of list, although I believe he just signed a big contract.
