Some bitch (disgruntled retiree) has bombed my wife with 40 magazines (going on over two months) through Bill Me Later subscriptions. We have to call every one of them only to learn that there sometimes is three layers ofannoyance cancel.

Is this a crime?

Ever hear of screwballs doing this to people?

(Still waiting for Penthouse but nuthin' yet)

Contact bill me later directly. They should be responsible for clearing this up.

We're getting magazines that someone else ordered via Bill Me Later. And we now are getting the bills. Each magazine has to be called. Sometimes more than once.

Can you decline delivery? Write return to sender, and a note saying you didn't subscribe?

Could someone explain how this works? So someone can just order a bunch of mag subscriptions to your house?!!! Cant this be traced back to the persons house and reported?

Had a boss once that no-one liked. He fired a guy who REALLY didn't like him, even before the termination. About a year later, his local library called. Turned out "someone" had ordered a crapload of magazine subscriptions in his name for a bill me later deal, and had them sent to the town library. Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, etc. He was sure it was the guy he had fired, but we just figured as big an as he was, there were lots of people who hated him enough to do that.

Is this a crime?
Yes. But committing a crime and sufficient evidence existing that would allow conviction for said crime are two very, very different things.
Agree with advice to call the billing party - probably one or a few. Better than calling each mag.
Agree with refusing the mail.
Agree that your wife probably needs to improve her inter-personal skills.
Good luck.

Getting some ideas Champs?
Lol! Theres a few people i have in mind and this would be well deserved but thats not my style. I just find it odd that people can just order a bunch of mag subs in your name with no type of id verification.

Some weird victim blaming going on.

But 8893 is right, you should probably divorce her.

I have Dove's home address if anyone feels like sending 40 more.

If you order penthouse, playboy, maxim, etc, I don't think Dove will complain in the least.
