Big XII Expansion on the Horizon?

The entire history of capitalism (and socialism too for that matter) is that money makes things happen, and more money makes them happen faster.

I'm an Economist, so I'm well versed in capitalism.
And there are other factors at play than merely money.

Again, it took 16 years for them to change from BCS to this. They are not going to change again in 3 years.

And the professional sports argument actually proves my point. Every playoff expansion was debated for YEARS before implemented. I would expect colleges to be even slower to move, since in the pros at least all the owners are in it to make money. The university presidents are balancing several factors.

Right, well, I don't think any argument 'proves' your point. As an economist (small 'e') aren't you supposed to toss in an "all things being equal" observation or something. Next, let's talk about the Laffer curve, or an inverted yield curve. Something. Anything. Such fun!!!

B1G: MSU 1950, PSU 1990, Nebraska 2011, Maryland 2014, Rutgers 2014
ACC: Georgia Tech 1979, FSU 1991, Miami 2004, VPI 2004, BC 2005, ND 2013, SU 2013, Pitt 2013, UL 2014
Things move more and more quickly because the money has gotten ridiculous very quickly. No moves would surprise me if they mean mo' money mo' money.

Amy..do not worry about English..NickyNewark posts here and is less fluent. And we mostly understand him.

Sooo? What do you think about what team is New York's team?

My thought? FSU.

The NY Times has their own FSU Bureau and keeps a reporter on the campus. Must be New York's team.

Give me your thought...UConn, Cuse, Notre Dame, Manchester City?

Shoot !!...obviously Amy is NickyNewark....

Same syntax, same taxi driver English...and is it a coincidence that the 2007 Miss New Jersey was named Amy?

And Amy is an easy name to spell.

I will be hoping for FSU to smackdown BC tomorrow if it makes you feel better. You and your boys are riding high now, we know, but it won't last much longer.

No pun intended

Every team has to lose now and then...this will be the 27th game since FSU last lost...so, odds are a loss will be coming along some time in the near future.

You can't win a championship every year...but you can win 10-12. The way the recruits are stacked, I see FSU as being a strong team for the next four years at least.

As far as me, personally, riding high...I am truly having the best time of my life. Retired, dividing time between Florida and the WNC mountains, having a wife that I adore...life is a ball.

But you are right...sometimes things take a turn for the worse. For me, so far, so good...the surgery and radiation of a year and a half ago seem to be holding.

FSU will fight to stay in the national ranking picture and I will fight the big C...

And, one day, we both might have a bad season....I hope that it will be a long time coming.

For what it's worth I hope you kick cancer's a ss. (while FSU loses every game for the next 10 years.)
