This is kinda sorta related to realignment............The Big Ten reported on revenue and spending for the 2017-2018 school year. Rutgers and Maryland are at the bottom of the list in terms of revenue (they do not yet receive equal shares from the conference). This was the first school year in which Nebraska received an equal share of revenue from the conference and the Cornhuskers shot all the way up to #6 in the conference in terms of total revenue. As a private school, Northwestern does not publicly report these numbers, so they are not included in these rankings. Other interesting stats in the article include: number of sports teams sponsored per school, number of scholarship athletes per school, amount of money spent on athletic scholarships per school, and amount of money spent on coaches salaries per school.

Spending on sports up sharply in Big Ten in 2017-2018; see school-by-school details for Ohio State, Michigan, others

This chart represents total ticket revenue for the Big Ten schools in '17-'18. Northwestern is not included because it does not publicly report this information. Rutgers is not included because it has not yet filed this information with the NCAA and received an extension for doing so. I'm surprised that Ohio State is so much higher than second place Michigan.
