Exactly. ESPN has ruined the postseason by adding all these mediocre match ups. It was nice when there were only 15 or so bowls with one word in the name. It meant something back in the day to go to a bowl... now not so much.

Yup. They recruit good athletes and don't require them to take classes and, yet, getting skull fahqed by an average Rutgers team in front of 50K blue seats is the best they can do. Poetic justice, I suppose.

Reading this article makes me want the CT Sports Commission to work with ESPN and figure out a way to get a bowl at the Rent even if its AAC-MAC. Reach out to the B1G and see if they'd be interested in AAC-B1g at the Rent or at Yale Bowl

Boise freakin Idaho hosts a bowl game. CT could easily host one if they wanted to especially considering the conference that the state U is a part of had a team not make a bowl (temple)

In theory Connecticut could host a bowl game at Rentchler. You've posted about the Yale Bowl a few times, I'm guessing you've never actually been there.

The thought that the Big Ten is sending someone to play the 5th or 6th best AAC team in East Hartford is fantasy. I imagine that was Medic's point.

Not sure who you think is willing to pony up the cash to make a bowl game at Rentschler happen.
