Thinking about attending my first Big East Tournament. The all-session ticket for $157.50 seems like a bargain. However the three hour trip (one way) from Maine makes commuting unrealistic. Looks like rooms at the Sun, if available, would be at least $250 a night. (Anybody else remember when the "8" inside the sun of the Days Inn sign meant $8 per night and Motel6 rooms really started at $6?) Any suggestions for reasonably priced accommodations somewhere near the venue? Or what does the king's ransom price come with, other than a place to sleep?

Between now and then if you go to Mohegan a few times and lose a lot of money, I mean a really lot of money, maybe they'll comp you a room :) Being serious, I have to believe there's something more reasonable than $250+ per night within reasonable driving distance. 1/3 of CT, not to mention a big chunk of RI should be in play.

I am booked at the Microtel which has a shuttle to the casino. As you have probably seen, all the hotels near the arena are $190-$250 and the prices won’t drop so book now.

Go to AirBNB dot com & enter Uncasville, CT (Montville) into the searchbox for the BET dates & you can stay in Rebecca's private home nearby for $60 per night.
The dates are available now w/free cancellation.

Booked a room at the Fairfield near the arena for $236 a night, $208 a night if you pay up front. I assumed UConn won't be in the first round, so I will be there from Friday evening until Tuesday morning after the championship game.
