St. John's kicks it off with Joson Sanon. I know 429 offered comments about him when he was being recruited but don't recall any specifics. Looks as if he had a pretty solid year at AZ St. with 11.9 points per game on 36.9% three point shooting in 28 minutes.
The article mentions him being at a MSG game last year while being recruited and that experience stayed with him. Maybe that will be the case if UConn pursues players they recruited but who chose to make a mistake and go elsewhere.
Of note, Sanon took no visits, just listened to his agent who told him if you have a chance to play at MSG under a Hall of Fame coach you should take it. Better get Dan Hurley in the Hall soon........

Creighton always puts together a solid team. Freeman is a good fit and they seem to be in a good spot for Dix too. Plus there's rumors of a big addition via High Point in non-player form

Oh, Hans, really? "Would been"?

Just kidding!
Keeps me humble.
We all make mistakes.

BORING STUFF:
Any careful reader would recognize that I ignore the vast majority of them.

By way of general explanation, which I offer periodically & mostly during the off-season, I intentionally comment with affection & gentle humor on the funniest & most fun errors & omissions...when & where they occur within posts that neither punch down nor puff up or not overreach. Those latter posts are the ones that lead toward to my reputation. This remains a point that seems rarely considered by those who feel unjustly targeted. It's not me at my best, but more as a seeker of picayune justice toward a more collaborative forum that emphasizes efforts toward success for all who participate and in favor of the program we support as fanatics.

That’s been the speculation for a long time. Considering the reputations of the head coaches I’m sure both programs had contact with Hopkins months ago.

In all honesty, I feel like if you're not working the channels during the year, you will be left behind. I'd be shocked if we didn't have some contact with guys during the year. How is it that every year, tons of guys go in with a "do not contact" moniker without their being prior contact?

It's kind of like the steroid era in baseball. It was against the "rules," yet everyone was doing it, everyone knew everyone was doing it. You could choose not to do it, but then you shouldn't be upset when Brady Anderson hits 93 home runs.

It's just that you are most commonly so erudite and precise with your verbiage that I was amused by the minor gaffe. ;)
