Big East OOC schedule shaping up

In addition to the Creighton news (H/H with Kansas State), Georgetown is playing Maryland on the road as part of a four year series.

P4 games by school as of now (not including 3-game MTEs)

Butler: 4
UConn: 6
Creighton: 2 + MTE
DePaul: 2-3
Georgetown: 4-5
Marquette: 5
Providence: 5
Seton Hall: 1 + MTE
St. John's: 3 + MTE
Villanova: 3
Xavier: 5

I still expect Seton Hall to schedule at least one more P4 opponent.

As of right now, the league already has 40 P4 games scheduled not including 3 game MTEs.

Last year, the eleven Big East members played a total of 41 P4 opponents OOC.

My expectation is that the number will end up around 46.

Seton Hall has signed a home and home with Kansas State and the Players Era Festival has announced matchups.

Minimum of number of P4 opponents by school:

Butler: 4
UConn: 6
Creighton: 4-5
DePaul: 2-3
Georgetown: 4-5
Marquette: 5
Providence: 5
Seton Hall: 2 + Maui
St. John's: 5-6
Villanova: 3
Xavier: 5

Minimum so far: 45

I still think Nova will schedule one more P4. My guess is the number is around 48.

We played 41 last year (with the Big 12-Big East Battle).

Overall, really good job by the league scheduling this year.

Technically, they are not for this exercise, but they are obviously a major opponent.
