As for when 'Nova plays UConn, I'd expect Geno to start Aubrey guarding Maddy. However, remember last year when the Huskies had Aaliyah blanket Siegrist for a goodly share of their game (since Aubrey was missing). To me, that was Aaliyah's finest hour of an up and down soph season. Since 'Nova has few other offensive options, I wouldn't be surprised to see both Aubrey and Aaliyah seeing time guarding Maddy. I don't envy Siegrist that experience, as great as she is.

As for the BE DPOY, it does seem some here assume it's between Nika and Aubrey, as HuskyNan pointed out. I'd add the names Kennedy Fauntleroy and Kelsey Ransome to the mix. I'm guessing some BYers won't like that suggestion, but both of them are defensive pests and do lots of the things, maybe even more quickly, that Nika did last season to earn her award. For example, they combined for eight steals yesterday against the Huskies.
