Relax, Relax! This is all part of Marinatto's master plan! Everything is going exactly as we had planned and the Big East will be the elite BCS conference when this is all said and done!

And that's it, they stop at 10.

BYU doesn't make the cut.

Same old list.

BYU- usual complications
WVU-- we all know it depends on Missouri and an assumed SEC offer
Lousville after that

Throwing in WVU as a casual aside is an interesting ploy...

BYU is worth 2x Louisville in a TV negotiation. Either BYU has rejected the Big 12 or the TCU invitation was to put the screws to BYU.

BYU is 2x more valuable than UofL but they have their own TV network, a national following and their own bowl bids, why join a conference without at least giving independence a try?

Our only hope is Missouri stays in the B12.

Perhaps if we sent U Missouri a droid with a nice hologram of a UConn cheerleader in Princess Leia outfit?

has any one else noticed that not a single preleaked, "inside source says", prediction has come true? there wasn't a peep about Cuse, Pitt or TCU until after they happened. if anythign this leads me to believe with certaintly that nothing is happenind with Louisville. i hope i'm right. as long as we keep louisville and wvu, the be will have nothing to worry about BCS bid wise.

There were a lot of leaks about TCU, and some Raleigh radio station ran the Cuse/Pitt debacle about 4 days before it happened. I remember thinking how ridiculous it was that the ACC would want those two turnips.

Chip Brown has been saying TCU for a while... TCU was mentioned by most as a candidate for the BIG12.

A&M to the SEC hardly was a backroom hush-hush dealing. That was played out through rumors and unnamed sources for a year or two. Really the only completely out of the blue, wasn't reported until a day or two before it happened move was SU and Pitt. That's how the ACC has always worked. They don't leak.

What about everyone who said the Longhorns would block any new Texas school additions?

BYU is on a religious mission which complicates things. The B12 is all about money. BYU sports is one of the planned anchors for BYUtv.

BYU TV is in 60% of US homes and looking for 100% with sports programming. DirecTV and Dish carry it. Most Northern Cable stations don't. Yet. You will be Romney-ized in Novemer 2012 and learn to love Donny and Marie reruns.

>>> BYUtv is available on cable in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming

The station is currently increasing their number of live sports events to 150-200 a year, with 140 live BYU Sports scheduled to be shown on BYUtv in the 2011-2012 school year, not counting the BYU-Hawaii games or the WCC Basketball Tournament.
BYUtv can air any game broadcast in rerun form later in the day. <<<

Now you are into my theory:

  • When all the SEC coaches say that 13 is a good number that means they are adding another member shortly.

  • When Texas A&M says Missouri will be in the B12 for a long, long time it means Missouri will schedule a Curators meeting within 48 hours and announce an intensive search for the SEC offices 5 days later

  • When Pitino is selling Jim Calhoun on the Big East it really means "We are in talks with the B12. Don't snake our seat dumbo"

I pray to God Pitino never uses the phrase "snake your seat" in a restaurant. At least again.

You seem to have a lot of the inside scoop on that fateful night there, guy. Where you there? :);):(

Fine. I went to the well once too often. Not the first time and unfortunately probably not the last.

am i the only one that thinks since Louisville still hasn't left that they're probably not going to? apparently the Big12 is the only home available for Missouri, and from my understanding that means they'll probably stand pat.
i might be jumping the gun a bit, but i think the BE can start making their plan now b/c i don't see anything else really shaking out.

the problem continues to be that everybody in the Big East continues to profess loyalty but they all have their fingers crossed behind their backs....and I'm glad that UConn has their fingers and toes crossed. This is a sinking ship.
