From the Big 12 media day:

Unveiled Monday at the Big 12’s media days at AT&T Stadium, Big 12 Now on ESPN+ will be the new digital network for the conference, broadcasting more than 800 events each year.

“This technology is up and running,” Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby said. “It’s easy to subscribe to and it’s cutting-edge. It is very much anticipatory of what tomorrow’s technology environment is going to look like.”

Big 12 Media Days: League to launch digital network on ESPN+; basic subscription starts at $4.99 per month

There is no Big 12 Network. There's the Longhorn Network, but Texas and Oklahoma have said no thanks to ESPN+.

Oklahoma doesn’t need Big12 Now because of their Sooner Sports TV through Fox. It was 10 year deal when signed back in 2012.

I stopped following realignment years ago but why wouldn’t the pac 12 and big 10 raid this conference and kill it for good? Then change the rules so only the pac 12, big 10, sec and ACC champions make the playoffs?

Because none of the schools in the AAC add enough value to justify the current payouts of those leagues, so every existing member would lose money.

Also killing the AAC would just give a means for the MWC to then become the de-facto 6th league that wants to be P5 and you would be right back where you started except now you have USF on your schedule and less money in your pocket.

He was asking about the Big 12 and the answer is they can’t afford it.
