Bad mojo. We need more respect shown to the Cardinals.

Those all sound about fair. Several have mentioned that UCONN beat them by 14 in the regular season. True, but UCONN beat them without Breanna Stewart on the floor. I think the final margin will be somewhere between 15-20, but I'll save that for the score prediction thread...

In the first matchup:
1. No Stewie
2. Morgan - 8 minutes, buncha zeros in the box score for her
3. Kaleena had, for her, a bad shooting night, 3-11 for 12 points

Different players and dynamics on this current version of the Huskeis.

I trust everyone understands the line is made to balance the betting on both teams. If more people started betting on Louisville the line would drop.

That is a lot of points to cover, UConn could lead by 20 the whole game. Then Geno empties the bench with a minute or so, and Louisville gets a couple late baskets........ bye bye money

Charles Barkley picks the Huskies and says Geno is the best coach in basketball...!
Charles and Geno are friends. Charles probably gets freebies at Geno's restaurants. Of course he is picking UConn

But remember Louisville is not the same either. They have caught lightning in a bottle in their last three wins and are playing with a ton of confidence. Slaughter wasn't the weapon from three then that she is now. We are doomed, DOOMED for sure!
Go UConn...take care of the ball...no ill-advised entry passes...execute, score and continue the tough defense that they have been playing. Play with poise and confidence.

Slaughter has always been Louisville's best three point shooter. Anyone that's left her open on the perimeter didn't do a very good job on their scouting report.

Geno taught Charles his golf swing.

To me, the line listed in the Courant (15) seems way too high. If Louisville is allowed to play real physical like it did against Baylor, it will be hard to focus and play our "A" game. If the game is called tightly, UConn should roll to a comfortable win.

You described the last match up. Uconn was up 23 points with 2:09 left and UL scored the last 9 points of the game to close to 14.

They triple teamed the post when the ball went into Griner. They don't have the size to do that to Uconn.

That's what Charles says...they both relate really well...but he is deadly serious about his regard for Geno as a coach...

If you look at UConn's six games vs. opponents of Lville's quality--TxA&M, Md, PSU, Stfd, Duke and Lville itself--we won by an average of 22 points.

And we are a much better team now. Imho a point spread in the mid teens gives too much weight to a game where the Cards shot 16 for 25 on 3s.

That said I expect Lville to play us very tough and I am anticipating a very hard fought game.
