State Pride day or something - those are great.

.-.
Those are nice. Hope we wear all white at home this year. Hate the blue pants too.

Looks like C-Town Supermarket intramural team to me...;)
What would our alternate uni look like with He who transplants sustains silly ass tree flag look like?

.-.
I've said before that this era will be seen as the college football equivalent of the 1970s in baseball which brought such nonsense as the Pirates killer bees uniforms and the white Sox shorts and several teams in powder blue. And the Padres in their yellows. Proving once again that just because you can make silly uniforms doesn't mean you should.

Not just college. Did anyone see the Rams and 49ers last night? Two uglier sets of uniforms have never appeared on a football field at the same time.

Look like the jersey for the favorite football team of the cartoon character Speed Racer. In a word: hideous

On positive note, the gloves would work well if the players want to dress up as Iron Man for Halloween.

Times have changed. It's all about selling merchandise to fans (which wasn't available in the 70s anywhere near the level it is now - you go to any sporting event today and every other fan in the stands is wearing team apparel) and attracting recruits to schools. So these wild alternate designs aren't going away.

.-.
Just like everything else they are a fad. In a couple of years everyone will go back to "classic" uniforms. And we'll look back and laugh that programs actually though it made sense to wear stone wall helmets and state flag shirts and fluorescent uniforms. And uniforms that have zero to do with the school they represent.

Yup. They won't go back to classic unis as long as they're raking in profits from the alternates.

I'm glad we haven't yet given in to this trend and still wear normal unis. The programs doing it are attention getting whores, no different from the hookers on 42nd St.

Now it’s getting ridiculous.

Florida’s duds next week:

SMH. Their team isn't good enough to warrant attracting additional attention.

Look for REv2 to Randyize the uni's the next go round. No red, and back to a darker blue.

As long as there’s no stupid shoulder piping. A Randy trademark I always hated.

I'm guessing you are the only person in CT who didn't like the green whalers jersey back in the day.

Basically, the shoe companies have turned sports into a fashion show. Meanwhile, what it does is dilute consistent university brand recognition. If you're a gator fan, you want the gator logo and colors. Huskies bleed blue not steel grey or any other color.
