i think Smitty gets little respect as a 3 point shooter because so many on this board weren’t around to witness his greatness. He was prolific, but no-nonsense and business-like with his efficient scoring. There’s a reason why he’s our all-time top scorer, and it wasn’t because he hoisted up 20 shots/game.

I have a soft spot here for Brian Fair. He flew under most people’s radars, was soft spoken and reserved, and came really close to transferring. He was on a team full of great players. Some games, he barely played. But that guy was lights out from 3 and he made it look effortless. Most don’t realize he was a thousand point scorer UConn.
