50-47 to #12 St Thomas in the sweet 16.

It was 48-47 with 20 seconds left. Tufts inbounds the ball, but the officials had to stop the game because of a clock problem. So Tufts had to inbound again & the 2nd time the pass was stolen. Tufts had a chance to tie but never got off a good 3 attempt.

Still a good season!

Tufts conference mate Bowdoin also lost. But #1 Amherst is up by double-digits.

They were big underdogs against the much taller St Thomas.

... Tufts inbounds the ball, but the officials had to stop the game because of a clock problem...

As an electrical engineer, I am appalled at the frequency of so-called "clock problems." A clock is about as simple a component as there is in electronics. And if you point to cabling, how incompetent can technicians be who can't hook up cables and keep them from getting kicked, stepped on or otherwise disturbed?

Clock problems should have gone the way of the dodo bird decades ago.

... Then again, there are officials who forget to press a button to stop the clock when it should have been stopped. Incompetent officials should have gone the way of the dodo bird decades ago as well.
