“Oh, (it’s been) 100% worth it. I definitely made the right decision,” Fudd said Saturday before Senior Day. “And this year has been, honestly, the most fun I've had. I don't know if holistic is the right word, but just like, from every perspective, point of view, area of my life. I've grown a lot. I've had so much fun, and I would do it again.”
“It’s definitely challenged me,” Fudd said of UConn’s impact on her. “It's definitely shown me and forced me to grow up. I feel like I've really grown in trusting myself, believing myself, like figuring out, learning who I am on and off the court. And learning how to be my own self-advocate, I think, is a big one. And like trusting that and like being OK with standing up for myself.”

Yeah, we're finally getting to see Fudd be Fudd (what a lot of people envisioned Fudd being).

Until last year's stretch run and NCAAs I was always puzzled by Azzi's performance conflicting with an obvious natural reticence. No more conflict. 😁

I remember those great games Azzi’s freshman year where she impressed, but seemed to be waiting for permission from her teammates. Nika and Evina especially were key to this once Paige was injured. The Tennessee game that season was especially satisfying.

Have always appreciated Azzi, and am thrilled that she is putting together a complete, healthy senior season.

I'm surprised the media pundits are still largely missing that she is so much more than a shooter.

She plays excellent defense, can score at rim and mid range, and is an adept passer and ball handler. It's simply she is not asked to do a lot of this in the UConn scheme. If you watch closely it still all happens every game, just in moderation.

With her improved confidence and leadership, some lucky pro team will be getting a complete combo guard, not just a shooter.

Sounds a little like another young athlete named Alysa
