FWIW, my buddy was diagnosed with it. He lived another 20 years and it wasn't his heart that finally got him.

Yeah getting the right diagnosis is a good start. The symptoms are so similar my doctor thought it was long haul Covid. Supposed to be treatable so I am optimistic.

I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure just over twenty years ago. Have had a defibrillator implanted in my chest for over twenty years. I have had a bunch of other major health issues on top of this (cancer, kidney disease, etc etc) And you know what? I'm still relatively healthy, active and enjoying life. So don't feel like you are dooomed! Medical science is amazing these days! Best wishes!
