There was a mention yesterday that the BE and some of its schools were considering legal options. While that may include claims against ESPN I think it is more likely the two factions in the BE, FB and BB schools, are evaluating their options against the other side.
Say the BB schools succeed in blocking expansion on the FB side and WVU and Louisville wind up in the SEC or B12. If that happens no more BE FB conference. Does anyone think that the schools leaving the BE (which may include UConn for FB to someplace like CUSA) are going to pony up 5 million each for the BB schools to share?
I don't know what the BE bylaws say about who gets that money but assume it would be shared by the schools that remain in the BE.
