Nadal is totally destroying Djokovic 6-0, 6-2. If you want to see any of this, turn it on now - going to be over fast.

Djokovic fighting back in set 3. On serve 5-4

Nadal has just been unbelievable at the French. Can you believe that he's 100-2 at the French, winning 13 slams along the way? Simply dominant on the red clay of Paris. Nobody else can come close to boasting a record like that at any slam AFAIK.

Robin Soderling and Novak Djokovic are the ONLY two people to beat Nadal at the French.

Nadal looked fresh & he beat the #1 player in the world who hasnt last all year in a dominant manner. I would say when each of the Big 3 are healthy & at their peak, I would give the slight edge to Nadal over the other two. He is so physically & mentally tough. I don't think we'll see an era in tennis like this again! Best match of all-time, imo, is the Nadal vs Federer Wimby final about a decade ago that Nadal won.

Let's keep this in context.

Head to head: 29-27 Djokovic.

But, Nadal is ahead on clay: 18-7. (Read: Novak is so great, he gets to the finals on clay, and then mostly loses to Rafa. Same with Federer vs. Nadal.)

Thus, non-clay: 22-9 Djokovic.

And Djokovic has won the last 10 non-clay matches.

Hmm.

I think both will surpass Federer's 20 in the next few years. It will be interesting what the final tally will be!

I was expecting a much better match. Nadal was hot and Djokovic couldn't get his foot in the door. Djoko's tennis skills are unworldly so even on clay it is surprising that he got beaten so throughly. On a hard court this wouldn't happen; Djoko might lose but not like today.

As of now, I would say career-wise:
Rafa - by far best on clay
Federer - slight edge on grass
Novak - slight edge on hardcourts

I saw the end of the 3rd set and that set could have gone either way. Djokovic missed a few lines by millimeters and for some weird reason, did not seem the have the will to fight it out. Maybe he thought he was too far down the rabbits hole and was coming off a tough 5 setter. Also as McEnroe was saying, Nadal was not serving great but Djokovic would not put enough pressure on Nadals second serve. His main opponent is still his head. Anyway, congratulations to Nadal

Besides everything else, Novak is so tough mentally. He has beat Roger three times in Slams when he was down match point.

Clay Court Nadal has no rival.

Head-to-head since the China Open in 2013 - Djoko leads the head-to-head 13-5. And ofc the 5 times Nadal beat Djoko- it was on clay.
