DC thanks for all of the posts re games, tshirts, this post! Not surprising that a # of players and coaches would think that! It is normal thinking when you have been invisable, literally for the # of years we have been. Some should probably keep their thoughts to themselves. Some have reason to believe they can beat us this year! The reality is only 3 teams have Baylor,ND,and St Johns! The ist 3 losses most definitly should/could have been wins! The 2nd ND game they were the better team for most of the game. WE will be fine! That does not mean we will win it all,but in an off year for us we should go to the Final Four! Whatever happens the rest of this season with a less than perfect team,I will be rooting and watching every game. I will also remember that the future is profoundly bright:cool:
I am interested in how we play out this tournament and THE TOURNAMENT. Anyone who believes this is anything more than a blip will be sadly mistaken.
The future is potentially mindboggling! As if what we have already been part of hasn't been:) The 2012 class may be the best class in college basketball history:p #1,#2,#4 added to everyone returning other than Tiff! 2013 will potentially add more to an incredible team#1/#2/3 DD,#16 McCall#4,Taya,Supergirl Chong;)Samulson??? some mix will develop 2014
********** For those who may not have seen#6 Drummer S CA 6'2" has us on her list,#11 with a bullet Calhoun, and who knows but CA/AZ West Coast is opening up;)
Enjoy your 15 mins of fame, those who think the world has flipped!

We can't be top dog every year. I think every UConn fan knows this. We may not like it, but that is the way it is.

Every team is beatable, every year. Some years you need to have more than talent, you need to have a little bit of luck on your side to beat a traditional powerhouse. Sometimes the scale of talent tips a little bit more in the favor of those typically in the shadows. Or maybe we are finally, truly, seeing parity come to the women's game. That is NOT a bad thing!

I fully expected that in the PM (post-Maya) year there would be challenges and that the road would not be smooth from start to finish. And that is okay. A little adversity will fuel the competitive fires in the future. And the future is very bright, indeed. We lose Tiffany this year, but oh boy, look what we have coming in next year! But this season isn't over yet, and I have not given up. It just happens that this is one of those years that UConn may need to have a little luck on their side to reach their goal. And their A game, every game, from here on out.

GO HUSKIES!
