From what I can vaguely recall she didn't get recruited by UConn or UT which were the major programs of that time, but of course UConn had DT coming in the same class. Duke hit the scene when they upset the LVs in 1999, Beard arrived at the start of the 2000-01 season and kept Duke in the hunt for a NC. She had some great complimentary pieces during her time but the team couldn't get over the hump when it counted in the tournament. Duke was oh so close to a NC during Goestenkors time and had they pulled one off I think she would have stayed at Duke for several more years. Still, a terrific player who had a long and largely successful WNBA career when she was healthy. That leaves Diana and Brunson as the only players left drafted in 2004 unless Rebekah has made an announcement I missed. Bird is the only one left from 2002 and I honestly don't think any are left from 2003. I am feeling my age this morning as I remember all of those young ladies playing college basketball. [/QUOTE]
