BE Schedule Release Hype Video

They need less hype videos and more information of location and times of home games. What they produce isn’t actionable.
I guess they think they get more clicks this way but it starts to get annoying.

Nope, we don't want to provide teams any information so they can end up optimizing their free throw defense vs. us. Keep things a surprise.

AD David Benedict has already addressed this. They need both the Men's and Women's schedules, plus the XL schedule in order to fully determine where the games occur for the 24-25 season.

The process is broken - the NC Championship was won in early April, five (5) months ago. The season starts in two (2) months. I know the conference/TV is involved but maybe the AD’s need to light a fire under Val to have her office get more competent working with TV networks etc.

No problem with a humor video, but it is not a substitute for having any actual schedule, which this is not. So it should not be advertised as such.

As far as I know, no other major conference is done yet, either.

These teams do not have arena priority. They are beholden to the NBA, NHL and AHL schedules being set first. Calm down.

So the two time MBB National Champuon during the last 2 years should be beholden to a minor league hockey club schedule. What planet do you live on ?

Your point was that Val was slow, but she isn't slow. She's right in pace with everyone else.
 
That's wild that we only have 3 of our 10 weekend games played at home. Marquette in the same boat.. Does the Big East or FOX come up with these schedules? Your two most successful programs over the last two years and you put all their home games in the middle of the week?

I noticed the exact same thing. For UConn's Big East games, their only home weekend games are against Creighton and Seton Hall. Every other Big East game they play on the weekend is on the road.

Sunday game against PC on 1/5 also so that’s 3. Still a big discrepancy but whatever. Gives Hurley something to complain about and use as some kind of motivation. I’m not sure how with the players but he’ll figure out something.

I don't get the cookie thing for Seton Hall. What's the connection for that one? The rest were pretty good! (I actually like the accidental double trolling of MU b/c almost half the student body is from the Chicagoland area and would more likely be Bears fans, not Packers)

There's a group blowing up on TikTok the Costco Guys and the dad AJ is a Seton Hall grad. The double chunk chocolate cookie is one of their catchphrases. It's very dumb and I have no idea why everyone loves these guys

The building selection, given the game dates are decided, isn’t exactly rocket science. Compared to other buildings around the country the XL Center is likely one of the easiest to book - given it has a minor league hockey team and not much else besides UConn. We can’t even blame this on the TV networks or conference.
It is either intentional misguided marketing or incompetence?
 
Here’s the Wolf Pack schedule, so the first step is to compare home dates with UConn home games - and why a minor league hockey team drives everything with 2X Champs the last two seasons is beyond me.
