That's kind of sad for Maryland, not $10 sad, but sad nonetheless.

They did this last year too. I am torn between laughing and giving them credit for trying to find ways for getting butts in the seats...well, mostly I am laughing.

Their average home game attendance was at an 18 year low last year. I have to imagine ticket prices mean little to them at this point and they are just dying to get people in the seats.

there's a big difference between the ticket office selling cheap tickets and resorting to groupon. Groupon takes something like 50% of the proceeds right off the top. when i first moved to NJ i used to go to a Rutgers game every year for $10 with a coupon i'd get from one of the fundraiser coupon books that schools sell, but at least that was for charity. i'll be pretty upset if we ever run a promotion on groupon
