Bazz is bout that life.

I seriously need to stop saying people are/aren't 'bout that life'. I don't even think I know what it means, but I heard it in a rap song once.

Good, we'll need him back so we can take home the 12th UConn basketball national championship next year, one day before we bring home the 13th.

<3 Bazz.

Also is there any doubt he's a future Husky of Honor? Seems set in stone to me, given his great play and dedication to the program and the school.

Wasn't it Bazz and Giffey that attended one of the bigger Uconn women games and had big heads of Kaleena and Bria. :D That was hilarious. (although, it might have been Boatright who had the Kaleena fathead.)

He is a special young man, I'm always so impressed with his maturity and how analytical he is about his game and the entire makeup of the team. When you hear him talk about the game he doesn't sound like other college kids.

Yea, he never gives the typical canned answer, the CT reporters love him for that

It seems that the men's and women's players have been close for the most part over the years.

The coaches on the other hand.............

Whats been the whole story behind JC and Geno, two different personalities. Geno and C KO look like they get along just fine.

I think by the time Calhoun retired, they had a healthy level of respect for one another. They weren't buddies by any means..but the respect was there.

Probably more interesting, is the relationship Calhoun had with the women's players and what Geno had with the Men's. Calhoun loved Taurasi and Moore. And I remember Geno trying to help Okafor with his free throws..and the smile he had on his face while talking about Kemba Walker not to mention how much he loves Ray.

I think Geno and KO will be/are fine. In fact, earlier this year Geno was quoted as saying he thought KO should be coach of the year.

That's my point, blackbird. Take the relationship between the two coaches out of the equation, and the two programs have shared a close bond. This bond is probably common across the country, still with the level of success, it is always a joy to see.

i think its a little different here though because in ct uconn hoops is king/queen. what other program had two coaches (calhoun, geno)who`ve won multiple national titles? none that i can think of. we were the first school to win the national title for mens an women in the same year and have been among the elite programs with legendary players over the last 20+ years. uconn women have had some of the greatest players to ever play the sport and the men have kembas run and the 99 team that beat what many thought was an unbeatable duke team that was among the best college teams ever. they were 37-1 going into that game.
