This is complete BS. Did you even watch the game?????? In reality, NM was only involved in 1 3 pt basket from Baylor. That was Qtr 1 when she hit a double screen and AE didn't kick out to take the shooter. NM was not responsible for any other 3 pointers. In fact she closed out a couple times to force the miss or her player had no room to breath, never mind shoot a three. Again, in reality, she played fantastic Defense. It can be easily argued that she completely shut down any player she guarded since the only time a player she guarded scored, other then the 3 above (which was on AE to be fair or just plain good offense by baylor), was a 2 pointer in the 3rd, which I'm not sure was even her fault either. Again, she got caught on a big and our bigs didn't rotate fast enough. Twice, she got caught guarding the much bigger and stronger Bickle in the paint, so what did the two time DPOY do? She forced Bickle into two horribly missed shots. NM also had 2 steals, forced a charge and was generally disruptive on defense. Anybody who questions, this, just watch the game and call me out. From my recollection, and CD should have closed out better on some threes. CD, in particular, gave up 8 (straight) points to Baylor in the 3rd, not closing out on 2 3s and giving away the TO for the easy layup. The AA NM and 2 time DPOY also gave baylor a bit of chin music along the way, which was nice to see. GA was screaming at NM to go around the screen instead of through it. Not sure that is in NM's DNA. NM was terrific, poor shooting and missed layups, not withstanding. She could have had as many as 16 assists if we made the shots, which were mostly open on terrific passed from our AA NM. Defensively NM was spectacular!
