Does anyone know how Baylor is playing a 40th game this year? Played 3 games in conference championship and still takes 6 wins to get a title, so where is the extra game?

I thought the NCAA capped the total games allowed before league playoff and NCAA tourney games at 30?

Did they play in a tourney? Some multi-game tournaments can be counted as a single game

Maybe the NCAA will me us forfeit a game and take the "unbeaten" pressure off.

Honestly, unbeaten is not any pressure now. All they care about is a NC.

That all sounds good, but take it from UConn fans that have some experience in the area of the pursuit of perfection, the undefeated season pressure can get real.

Exhibit "A" being our 2003 NCAA title team. That squad had an undefeated season and NCAA record 70 game win streak going into the BEast champ game against Nova. The strain of the streak and a gritty Nova squad that played their AAA+ game caught us on the wrong night. However, had we not lost that game to Nova, I'm convinced we would have lost at some point prior to the NCAA champ game because of the strain/media focus on our streak.

I was thinking during the TAM game today, that Baylor would present an even greater challenge for UConn (should we meet in the NCAA's) had the Bears lost today or during the Big-12 tourney.

ESPN will up the ante and make the possibility of a Baylor run at perfection the centerpiece and focus of their analysts commentary and promos as the tourney progresses. Unless Mulkey keeps the kids in a hermetically sealed bubble, they'll be hearing and thinking about the magnitude of it all. How they process all that will be the difference. It's gonna be interesting...best of luck.
