Baylor will win the game handily but they still look like a team with chemistry problems, to me.

Once again Sims had a poor game. Griner had to come back into the game to finish up as Texas went on a run late to make Mulkey nervous.

I caught the last few minutes on MSG+ and the only player that appeared to have positive body language to my eye was Griner.

They get nothing from the bench again and after sitting a couple of games, Pope only played 8 minutes in this one.

Talented but beatable team.

Williams had nice numbers. She and Griner were the keys.

Sims had a bit of an off-game.

Okay . . . Interesting comments.

It was 4-4 early. Baylor outscored Texas 19-0 to go up 23-4 and was never threatened after that.
Baylor was up by 28 when Mulkey tried to sub out Griner and others to get young players some PT. Texas went on a mini run and Mulkey put Griner back in.
Good grief if you're going to judge Baylor to be beatable based on what happened late in that game.

Where did I say that I judged them beatable based on what happened late in the game?

I think they are beatable for a few reasons. And it has nothing to do with what happened late in the game.

I might have missed an injury for Pope. Why did she miss the last two games and only play 8 minutes today? Thanks.

Pope has been out with a calf strain.

I certainly don't think Baylor is unbeatable. Baylor did not shoot well in this game, 0-10 from 3 point range. They also didn't shoot well at the line, 15-29. If Baylor had shot well this would have been a big-time blowout.

Baylor absolutely came out on fire against Texas and was up 20 at the half. It may have been the best half that they have played this year. Had Baylor hit a few of their three pointers and their usual FT percentage it would have been a total blowout. I thought Griner had come out a bit too early and I knew that the lead would dwindle when Mulkey put in several of the bench players with a good amount of time left in the game.

Destiny Williams looked great. She really seems to be coming around lately by getting more minutes, not splitting her time with Pope, who has been out with a calf injury as previously stated.

Sims had an off shooting game. I felt like she forced a few shots trying to get into her rhythm even though she had an off day. She would have been better served to focus more on passing when she realized it wasn't her day.

As far as bad chemistry, that is hogwash. Anyone who watched the first half of this game would never say this. I think they got complacent during the game because they were winning so easily. I hate that, but it happens at times.
