This follows assistant damion McKinney leaving to "pursue other opportunities", which is often code for "fired".

I read somewhere else, most likely here, that a Baylor player is transferring to Ball State as well. Correct???

Woah what's going on at Baylor right now? Mass exodus. Maybe the coaches were enjoying the success associated with the Griner years, and now that she's gone, decided it was time for greener pastures? Why would anyone leave a BCS school for a lateral position at Podunk U?

She worked there before, and also knows one of the other assts from a previous job. Still very weird. It would almost be like Shea taking an asst job at Temple.

Not to be correcting, but I don't think she was the "associate head coach" - just an Assistant Coach (Ball State is using the term Associate Coach). Someone named Bill Brock was the associate head coach, at least at the start of the season. McKinney and Patterson were the Assistants.

Officially, her title was associate.
But yes she was the 3rd coach, after Mulkey and Brock.

Ah, to be a fly on the wall of some of the meetings that must have been taking place at Baylor in the past two months....must be a really "interesting" situation.

Going from a associate coach to associate head coach is not the lateral move some of us thought that it may be initially. There may not be a huge pay bump, but the cost of living in Muncie has to be lower. Looking it up, it appears to be a push overall. However, housing is Muncie is clearly the lower of the two.

Bruin: do you have any wisdom on the Ball State game against LadyVol? I seem to recall that you blew them out down the stretch?
I remember turning on ESPNews the next morning to see the crawl of the NCAA scores. When I saw the Ball State win I wasn't sure
that I believed it....purposefully kept watching till they did it again...same result! Smiled all day.

I think it was a 5/12 game. It didn't have the magnitude of the Louisville upset this year against Baylor but it was a shocker.

Did Ball State win round 2?

Her departure from Baylor is not recent news...she left the program several weeks ago. I'm glad that she landed in a new job.

I've heard nothing of a Baylor player transferring to Ball State, but you never know.

No. .. Cinderella broke her glass slipper. Iowa State beat them in the second round. The little guards for Ball State had a field day against the Vols.

Avg home price in Waco metro is about $110k. In Muncie, it's about 90. (In Hartford, it's $240).

But coaches do not move for cost of living. This is a HUGE step down in terms of prestige.

Can't disagree there. It's what also leads me to believe more is going on in Waco than many of us know.
