Once again, a pretty soft schedule for Mulkey.

The South Carolina and UConn games are by far the highlights.

Dec. 18, 2019 Wednesday ARKANSAS STATE Waco, Texas
Dec. 30, 2019 Monday MOREHEAD STATE Waco, Texas
Jan. 9, 2020 Thursday at UCONN Hartford,

The good games they play are significantly offset by the playing of New Hampshire, Grambling, Lamar, Houston Baptist, Arkansas St and Morehead St. Just think what the schedule would be, if the weren't going to the Virgin Islands over Thanksgiving.

Baylor and Oregon should of faced off in an early season clash off the titans at the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands. It appears they are in separate brackets that do not play an overall Championship game between the winners of each bracket? Too bad, we may have to wait until April in the Finals to see the Final Four rematch! 2019 Paradise Jam Brackets and Game Times Released

Agree, that is an easy schedule. No way the National champs and one of the top ranked teams next year should play a schedule like that. Sure hope MSST OOC schedule is better than this. Other than SC and UConn I see games no one will watch. WBB will never attain any credibility with schedules like this.

Yeah I was pretty disappointed when the schedule came out! Hopefully the big 12 is better but we all know it won’t be!

Pretty pathetic non-conference slate. With a weak Big 12 I could see they dropping to a 2 seed if they have 1 or 2 losses. You'd think Kim would have learned her lesson by now.

WOW, ALL HOME GAMES except for their visit to the USVI and UConn. Talk about "home cooking". A schedule like this guarantees two things, wins and reduced travel costs. The only teams with a legitimate chance of beating Baylor is South Carolina (away from the Farrell Center) and UConn at the XL Center.

Baylor won't lose any games at home. The Ferrell Center is as tough for an opponent to win in as Gampel Pavilion. Obviously Kim is not concerned about the optics of an obviously weak OOC. She'll get away with this schedule, and probably secure a #1 seed for the tournament. She knows exactly what she's doing. She'll be grinning from October to March. :p

I think this weak schedule might be a big mistake. Kim is going to have to decide if she wants to go with a big or a smaller but quicker lineup. Uconn is the only real elite team they are playing but they are not really overwhelmingly big. They will not really be playing any teams that have overpowering front lines to test if their small lineups would be effective against that sort of team. They would then have to wait until the tournament to adjust if necessary. This is the decision that Kim will have to make this year and she should have set up the right challenges to help her make that choice.

You non Baylor fans should be thrilled. A weak out of conference combined with a weak big 12 should make Baylor a weaker team come tournament time.

If I was a fan of any other team I would be begging to be seeded in the same regional as an untested Baylor.

Nice try poppaBear, but we're not buying it. We (UConn fans) know the team takes on the personality of its coach, Kim Mulkey. She's a tough ol' gal that eats nails for breakfast, and craps "barbed wire." (ouch) :D

She has "true grit" like none other. Her team will be ready to take on all comers when the season begins.

Being the reigning national champions, you know they'll get everyone's best effort. They'll be the BIGGEST game on all of their opponent's schedule this year. Come tournament time, they'll be as rough and ready as P-36 (extra course) sandpaper, and like UConn, no one will want to play them, or be on their side of the bracket.
