I got this back from them when I inquired about tickets. I would much prefer to find an Airbnb nearby that's as or less expensive and gives us more space than a hotel room. There were at least several the last time I looked within a 10 minute walk, including a couple with direct beach access.

If anyone is planning to go and would be willing to buy two tickets for us, that I'll quickly repay of course, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks y'all.

Thank you for contacting Atlantis. It would be my pleasure to assist you today.

You must book a stay in order to purchase the Battle 4 Atlantis tickets. The Battle for Atlantis tickets will go on sale for non guests 2 weeks prior to the Tournament and can be purchase through the box office.

If you want to go for a week you can watch the men's and the women's teams. They announced the field for the women today.

I know, I know. Take it to the women's board. 😀

Pretty darn good field when your probable weakest teams are Auburn and Arizona St.

Just got an e-mail saying “Due to COVID protocols, fans must be an Atlantis resort guest to purchase and attend games.”

This will suck if true; I will be canceling and going elsewhere.

I don't understand how they can say this when it's 8 months from now. Covid could be all but over by then, or under control better. What does staying at Atlantis do for you Covid wise? Most everyone should be vaccinated by then. Staying off property should not matter. I have a hotel booked for it but may need to cancel.

I don’t know if I would cancel anything. They might be playing a game with people
Thankfully I have until like a week beforehand to cancel our accommodations without penalty, and I believe all our airfare is refundable as well.

I booked for the women's tournament through a 3rd party (Paradise Travel) via VRBO. They apparently manage a number of condos, primarily in Harborside. Once my reservation was made thru VRBO, paid and signed the Paradise Travel contract, I got a confirmation from Paradise Travel that my reservation would be entered into the Atlantis system. Once you have a reservation number within the Atlantis system, you can order tickets directly through Atlantis since they now know you're a guest. Two Midcourt for UCONN games were only $150/ea.

Pretty sure my $250/night (with no resort fees) for a 1br decent sized condo is similar to or less than a tiny hotel room booked direct with Atlantis.

Good luck!

Assuming no restrictions on non-hotel guests, would it be expected that there would be plenty of game tickets available?

I've never gone to one of these type of events.

Interesting. Ours is an AirBnB place that is privately owned and not part of any complex so I'm pretty sure that won't be an option for us.

So are tickets for each game ~$150ea? I can't find info anywhere beyond what "thatguyed" said above. If so... ouch. Hotel rate isn't too bad considering IMO, $200/n for a queen at a resort is pretty typical. $230 gets you a water view.

If you book through them the package for all Husky games is $122. About $3300 with airfare for 1 person flying out of Philly. Since my trip to Czech Republic in July is probably not happening, and my trip to Atlanta in September just got moved to next June I figure what the heck - I plan on spending a week, turn it into a vacation like I did with Maui.

Which teams are likely to be matched for the first round?

How far do you think UConn can go?
I want nothing to do with seeing Baylor that early.

It’s a ridiculously stacked field but it’s so early that teams with a lot of new pieces to incorporate may be at a disadvantage.

I hate playing ‘Cuse that early, too, because the zone has almost always been our kryptonite as long as I’ve been a fan. But the wins are always sweet because of the history.

I would love to see the Hurley brothers set to meet each other in the final game because I feel like they’d each kill themselves (or someone else) to get there.

I have no idea how far we can go in this field because there are so many variables and unknowns at this point. It could be a disaster or we could win the whole thing, but I’d expect something in between. Whoever wins this will definitely have some early season buzz.

The $150 I noted is per person for all 3 UCONN women's games. Pricing for the guys is likely different.

It's a bit risky but if you're there and you can find a fan who is a guest, they should be able to buy tickets for you assuming nothing is sold out. I have no clue if pricing changes for any last minute box office buys.

I'm not getting on a plane without tickets secured beforehand. Otherwise I'll cancel and we'll go somewhere else. My wife doesn't want to stay in a resort and she has no interest in the games; my daughters will each probably come to one game with me.

If they don't open it up to non-resort guests, the only other solution I can think of is to see what the absolute cheapest single resort-affiliated room is and purchase a minimum stay there in addition to our villa just to be able to buy tickets.

I already have a room and flight booked, going to both tournaments. You want just the men or both? I'd be happy to buy them for you

Having said that, buying tickets when you're there was not an issue in the past

Hopefully we play better than our 2 prior appearances.

I was there last time, two absolutely miserable halfs back to back

Second half vs Cuse followed by the first half vs Gonzaga. At halftime of the Gonzaga game, I started a drunken stupor thread that was deleted by management

If I recall correctly, with 32 seconds on the clock Ollie chose not to foul in one of the two losses. He was playing to get a stop, rebound and make a three with two seconds left. Either Beihem or Few had to be laughing their a$$e$ off

As bizarre a finish as I've even seen

Why do you want to pay so much money for a tourney UConn will lose? I'd rather just watch it on TV. Baylor will destroy us and if somehow Baylor gets upset before we play them we could still lose to teams such as Michigan St. and Syracuse. Remember how we sucked last year without Bouknight? That's how this year will be
