That's an interesting hire. I think Balcomb is a good coach.

Puts her in great position to become Tech's new head coach next season if Coach Whitaker isn't retained.

Lubbock & Pullman (Wash St) have gotta be the 2 worst p5 locations, by far.
ETT won't like this, but Waco doesn't seem so great either. Actually, there are a lot of P5 college towns that don't appeal to me. Chapel Hill is not one of them.

I drove by Pullman once. The campus was down a side street, I didn't take a detour to go take a tour of it. If you didn't know there is a P5 college campus there, you would never ever expect as much. It's not really close to anything. Although I think you can see Russia from there. Wait, no, that's Moscow, Idaho, not Moscow, Russia. My bad.

I was thinking remote. Lubbock and Pullman are are double-digit hours away from anything else. At least Waco is a few hours yo both DFW and Austin.

Whoa, hold on a minute. Pullman is definitely remote, but you'd have to drive awfully slowly to take double digit hours to get there from Seattle, let alone Spokane. Give me 10 hours on the open road from Seattle and I can get to Northern California or western Montana or Wyoming.
