Vote for Badass Awards Uconn vs. Robert Morris.

ESPN Player of the game: Stewart got yet another record, but give the nod to freshman Katie Lou Samuelson, who led all scorers with 22 points. Stewart's contributions, if almost always special, are expected. Samuelson, in her first NCAA tournament game, looked ready to be counted on, too. The only moment of concern for the Huskies the entire game was when she had nowhere to land on a layup attempt in the first quarter and crashed hard to the court. She stayed in the game and converted the free throw for a three-point play.

Lou got an invitation to the game, and showed up. :D

I went with Kia as well as Breanna and Lou - 5-7 and 2-2 from three. What we have been looking for from her and she delivers at the start of this run.

Lou has transformed from being a good shooter to becoming an excellent player and now to earning stature as a real honest-to-Geno UConn Badass! ;)

That's true! She has become a certified "go to" player. 3 things are certain: 1. She'll be a starter the remainder of her career at UConn. 2. She's going to score a lot of points during her stay here.
3. Her number 33 will be on the wall in Gampel before she leaves. Its all here in the envelope. ;)

Yup. She's too good to not start. ;)

I'll be surprised if Lou finishes lower than Kaleena on the career scoring list.

I expect her to be a 3x AA.

If there was one game in which the ENTIRE STARTING TEAM deserved to be the winner of this award, this game was it. The announcers kept saying that a certain screen, a perfect pass, the coordination on both ends of the floor, trapping the ball, rapidity of movement, non-stop running, contributed to a score or a turn-over. That is TEAM, baby, at its best.

Don't forget, KML sat out 12 games during her Junior year due to injury. Had she not missed those games, she mat have put the record out of reach.
