There are 4 promising (maybe more) DB prospects with years to play for Blue. Fortt, Herring-Wilson, Robinson, Coyle (and hey … they are all from CT). Then Swenson. Robert King - #20 showed well this week. Carroll, Lucien, Lazarus, Paul; all need to be much more. I am not saying that they haven't looked embarrassing inept at times this year in open field roles. Just that you can see that they are getting better.

That is the only way we can see our way out of the hole. Steps. They have got to improve; we have got to see far more 3 and outs in this AAC conference. Otherwise we are watching a game that has no resemblance to CFB.

I hope Edsall has many Linebackers in mind to fill that roster next year. I do think Kevon Jones has promise. I see Beavers make plays. But we come from a system in the Aughts that had two deep in LB - 6 guys with RS years and a good player behind them. This roster is just not close.

And what can you say about that DLine. Youth be served. Of the many rotating players, my eyes has often found Jonathan Pace #97.

This week has to be a glimmer of hope for next week. If you thought of making a Game this year … the Minutemen should be on your board. Screw the kids soccer and that family party that seems like all the others.

Yup. That was competitive football and this coming weekend will be big.

They still gave up the same number of huge plays. 38 isn't all that far from 50 when you consider the 3 turnovers by USF. They did appear to trade in the 10-20 pitch and catch plays for tighter coverage, which was nice. Guys were regularly around the ball, which is new.

Still got beat up on the ground but even there it looked a little better on some plays.

The Oline looked better in spots and Mensah had some quality runs. Pindell is still not making his reads fast enough but he is fun to watch until the other team decides to key on him every play.

We took some steps. LB will be huge next year and, um, breaking in a new QB should be interesting around here

The D is atrocious. The secondary that Randy continues to dicker with, horrific. Baby steps gained against USF, lost
