I had read that Gino had asked Azzi to decide and declare her intention with regard to staying one more year or leaving for the W and asked that this be done immediately after the BET. But I haven't seen anything indicating that she had done so.
I would urge her to stay for one more year. I think it is fair to say that, whether as a result of injuries or for other reasons, she has not lived up to expectations including likely her own. Even this year her scoring average is slightly below her career average. On the plus side, her recent involvement with a sports psychologist and her incorporating a practice player in her warm up routine recently has seemed to be paying dividends.
I think anyone with her evident talent should give herself the opportunity to finally put it all together and put up the numbers that we all believe she is capable of, likely making All American status as she does so.
She would, with Sarah, be the clear leader of the team next year and with a strong (no pun intended) supporting cast, lead the Huskies to a 13th trophy as well!
