We have not heard anything. But I bet we don't see her until January.tonight?
Medical updates are scarce to non-existent. Status of Caroline is a good example. A minor sprain to most fully healthy players is one to two weeks, but Azzi is not a fully healthy player. Expect her to be back with limited minutes after the USC game.sure is discouraging
seems like the routine for uconn
seems like the routine for Azzi. I give her all the time she needs, to get back on the court. We are faced with the fact that if Azzi is ever to claim her status as a UCONN icon she has to play consistently game in game out. As is, every time she bends the wrong way, takes any hit, moves awkwardly, or grimaces we all hold our breath, wait with bated breath to see if she heads to the bench or is ready to play. This is no way for any player to have to suffer through. Azzi deserves better, take your time young lady, hope to see that 1000watt smile tonight and often.sure is discouraging

This would be my guess too. We now know she can get up to speed in a few games so why push?We have not heard anything. But I bet we don't see her until January.
I think the only item required is to submit starters with correct jersey numbers.I understand and respect that, as fans, we have no right to information about who is available for that day's game, but is there a time when a roster is "due" to the officials and/or the opposing coach? Is there a sort of "best practice" where a coach lets the other know who's playing by a certain time? Or is it literally a game-time decision?
Yeah, fish mouth for sure. Harf to watch Azzi play, tired of holding my breath whenever she is on the court. Her last episode appeared to be nothing more than a small bump. Not exactly optimum for Azzi to have to play worrying about her knee all the time she is on the court. Not great for the team either, never knowing if Azzi is good to go or not. Unsure what the lineup will be, dealing with yo-yo playing time for some.Baited breath? That seems fishy.
Very clever. Tough crowd though. Moosejaw actually spelled it correctly though.......just saying.Baited breath? That seems fishy.
Is there a reason why she isnt wearing one of those very visible knee braces???seems like the routine for Azzi. I give her all the time she needs, to get back on the court. I wondered the same thing. Some here have indicated that they offer little help. This is contrary to my 40years coaching experience and 2 years studying sports medicine. The play that doomed Azzi looked like a slight bump to the outside of the knee, a bump like that would have been protected with a knee brace. It may be that the injury was from another problem. Is there a reason why she isnt wearing one of those very visible knee braces???
The braces do protect against some things, however, as the knee is one of, if not the most complicated joint in the human body, there's no panacea that will prevent all bad stuff.I wondered the same thing. While watching Azzi walk around very recently it is unclear how she is day to day. While I am not a Dr. I did stay at a Holiday Inn express about ten years ago. Good luck special young lady. If Azzi is not available for much of this season, we can throw a little Shade on the situation.
