So, after that poor week one loss, one would expect the attendance to be quite weak for the game tomorrow....

However, Randy is coming to town and it should be a beautiful night.

Anyone think we can pack 38-40k? Chances of more if they allow people to sit in the temp seats?

Go.

There are less then 2,000 tickets left for sale as of yesterday. I expect attendance to be excellent.

I was listening to Ray Dunaway with Coach P on the drive to work this morning. He said there were still 5.000 tickets left for the game tomorrow.

John Silver said 2,000. There are also the 3,000 temp seats so they could both be correct if the 5,000 number includes the additional temporary seats.

I take Dsquiz's word of Pasqualoni here......PP has a knack for being just a little behind on everything........So 2,000 left to go.....

It will look a bit silly with temp bleachers and not a head in them

In his defense, P thought the game was on Sunday

The bleachers are for Michigan. It won't look silly next week and it's probably generating an extra 100k plus in revenue at the stadium for a $10-20k investment. My revenue guess is $25 per ticket x 3k ($75k) plus parking and concessions. We might be charging UM more than $25 per ticket, though. If there's a single fanny in the seats for Maryland then it's generating some extra revenue for UConn.

I still think the announced crowd will be 37,500 range but I hope I'm pleasantly surprised. I would love nothing more than to see a full house tomorrow night (temp bleachers included).

Announced crowd will be north of that. Actual crowd, maybe.

Am I the only one who thinks they should keep the temporary seats for good

I almost agree, but really just think we need to sell out 40k a few times in the near future before we do that. It would be a great segue toward a relatively inexpensive 5k expansion in the endzone that a poster had alluded to. If the B1G or ACC came calling, I would have that expansion plan on the table with signature in hand and show them the blueprint for the 10-15k upper deck.

Most importantly were all gonna be there doin our best to forget week one and supporting the kids ..GO DOGS!!!!

Just used the new 'select your seats' feature for today's game. Real rough guess, approx no more than 1.5k in unsold seats. Might be as few as 1k unsold seats at this hr.

In other news, the Michigan game appears to be sold out now. No seats are available on the school's website. Sorry if that has already been reported.
