Crystal Dangerfield and Courtney Williams on the same floor! Don't blink, or you will miss something!

... and maybe Chennedy Carter.

Is there a rumor to that effect? Decided to look up

Rookie G Chennedy Carter was making a strong bid for rookie of the year honors — averaging 17.0 points per game and hitting 42% of her three-pointers — before injuring an ankle Aug. 10. She has missed the past five games. She is listed as questionable. Should she play, the game would become a head-to-head showcase between Carter and Dangerfield, two top ROY candidates

Crystal steady getting the offense started and good defense on Williams 4 pts but bad luck on her 3's Pheesa stat stuffing 13 pts, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals 2 assists.

57-57 end of third

Not loving the commentary crew on the twitter broadcast

73-69 ATL with 3:15 left

Collier been quiet lately. Lynx had a 14 pt lead at one point.

Atlanta wins, great defense on the last possession forcing a circus shot that missed.

78-75 ATL final

Reeve shouldn’t have put it on Dangerfield to shoot the three on the last play. She couldn’t get open and she didn’t want to give up the ball. Reeve out-coached in this game.

But before that in the last few minutes, Crystal had several open 3's which she bypassed trying to get the offense moving. Being a PG is tough. Have to walk the line between shooting and getting every one else going Also a few tough TO's off the dribble. As they say, some film to learn from.

ATL was expecting Dangerfield to get the call. They were all over her. I think I would have had Banham out there for a clutch three. They wouldn’t have focused on her.

Minnesota had a good start, but Atlanta outplayed them in the second half. Laney could be the MIP.

Crystal and Phee were good, but not quite good enough. They also committed key turnovers at inopportune times.

Princetonian Blake Dietrick had 13 points. A career high?

Dietrick has had several productive games. Her corner 3 is money. I see 16 pts against Seattle as her career high

Laney went from a cut player in the preseason by Indiana to a valued starter on Atlanta. Hard to top that story.

She's certainly a worthy candidate, but so are the others I mentioned. Is it best story, or most improved player? Early on I thought Hines-Allen was a lock, but it's certainly a compelling race now.

For me MIP is a tie between Laney and Hines-Allen. In a normal year Hartley would be up there, but while she's having a career year no doubt, she's had a solid, if unspectacular, career thus far. In contrast, both Laney and Hines-Allen came out of nowhere, both taking advantage of key players on their teams being out, and showing they can be consistent threats in this league. Both are shooting near 50% from field and 40% from 3-pt range. Hines-Allen also averages more than 8rpg, while Laney has recently become a superb passer, getting double digits in assists her past two games.
