Phoenix seems to be surging again. Won 104-95. Big 3 with another great performance, 33 pts/18 reb/7 blocks for Griner, 27 pts 14 assists for DT (what's gotten into her w/ all of the assists lately?) and 21 pts/16 reb/7 assists for Bonner. Hayes scored 21 for ATL and Bentley led them w/ 24. ATL and Washington now tied at 22-11 with 1 game to go for that #2 seed.

That’s quite a performance from the PHX Big Three.

If LA loses their last game and Phoenix wins, we'll likely see Minnesota vs. LA for the 6/7 game...never would've expected that entering this season. Minnesota has definitely lost its step, LA just isn't as good this year as a unit, and the rest of the league is significantly better IMO. The saving grace for these teams is that whoever wins will likely face Atlanta in the

5/8 game would be Phoenix vs. Dallas, which means 4/5 would likely be Phoenix/Connecticut in the 2nd round which would be a rematch from last year. Never bet against DT in winner take all games.

I believe that either of these is possible for the first round single-elimination game:

--Minnesota with Maya and Sylvia against Phoenix with Diana and Britney. A heavyweight fight.

--Minnesota against Los Angeles--last year's finalists and the 2 pre-season favorites. In a 6 v. 7 game! Yikes!!

I am glad Phoenix Mercury won this game. Diana Taurasi, Dewanna Bonner and Britney Griner had a good game. Phoenix was led by Britney Griner with 33 points. As I watched this game, I noticed Diana had switched gears.
