There are some games where you just never know, with confidence, which way it will go until the final buzzer sounds. There are others where you might get a strong sense of confidence at a certain point in the game. For me, that feeling occurred within the first couple of minutes, when it became obvious that Kentucky's size was not going to intimidate us, and that our quickness and experience were the trump cards. The other thing that made me feel good was how quickly everyone got involved.

I felt really good going into the game. I didn't know until the game was over, but I felt strongly that this was our game pretty much when you did, because it confirmed to me everything I thought.

I was just worried about the refs. And if it weren't for them, the game would have been over in the first half.

Bazz's 3, up 1 with a few minutes to go. When he nailed that, I took it at as his way of telling us all, "we got this. i wont let us lose."

Not until the final minute. "Watched" the game using the Boneyard thread. Just couldn't stand it. I just can't take the stress. Watched it DVR over and over...

This. I get frustrated when I hear the monday morning QB's say the reason UK lost was their free throw shooting. Ball don't lie. Half of those interior whistles were complete BS. Young's transition flop call, Nolan's whistle against Randle where he looked incredulously at the ref. The Giffey elbow graze on the poythress putback slam.

Meanwhile on the one time the refs did get it right, when Boat (I believe) strips them under the hoop and comes out of the pile going the other way, Nantz dramatically says " NO --- FOUL ---- CALL" as if they clearly got it wrong.

.

I thought both teams played incredible interior defense in the game. UK's blocks were rightfully non calls, ours were wrongful whistles. The 24-10 FT disparity was BS considering both teams got the ball into the paint a ton and the fouls UK were called for were blatant layup takeaways after we turned them over.

I never allow myself to believe that we will lose.

I always believe we are going to win. Every game.

When Julius Randle was shown limping around before the game it became apparent it was over for Kentucky (either he had a legit injury or he lacked the mental toughness to play through it). Without Cauley Stein and a banged up Randle... UConn in my mind turned into the prohibitive favorite to cut down the nets on that glorious Monday night.

We would have won anyway because UConn had the better TEAM.

a few minutes in, I knew we could defend them. Not only were our guards doing what they can do, but Randle was taken out of the game, and showing his frustration

we KO'd UK from start to finish

I thought i was the only crazy one that has trouble watching these games! I was in Dallas so had no choice. I saw very little of the St. Joe's and Iowa State games!!! I'm a sports diehard but UConn is the only team that stirs these emotions. I have never set foot on the campus being from Pennsylvania and now in Florida but it feels like my family is playing to me!

I think when Daniels hit that layup I truly believed but I told my wife we need 2-3 Giffey 3s and that one to put us up 54-49 i was pretty confident! Although I did cover my eyes when Kentucky had the ball because it was working. It's only crazy if it doesn't work!

I knew UConn could win after seeing the manner in which they beat MSU and Florida. I knew they probably would win only when UConn went up 58-54 and even then it only a quiet confidence.

I had a crazy conspiracy theory running through my head that Emmert went into the Referee's locker room at half time and gave them the directive (nay, ultimatum) which would ensure a UK victory. After all, how would it look that not only UConn won the Championship after he himself refused every rational appeal to the APR ban, but also UConn winning it as soon as they got off his vindictive punishment.

With about 3 minutes left in the Florida game. We didn't even stay at the stadium for the Wisconsin-Kentucky game because we said it didn't matter who we played. There was NO WAY we were losing Monday night. That was a team of destiny right there, and Monday night we could just enjoy the ride.
